I founded Speedart Programme Boards as a Yorkshire lad growing up in Sheffield, and lifelong Sheffield Tigers fan. I showed a talent for art at an early age but my parents wouldn’t allow me to go to art college. After doing a YTS scheme and working on making furniture I found myself unemployed for six years, but with help and inspiration from my Uncle Ralph and Auntie Maureen, I started Speedart Programme Boards. Trading in the 80’s and early 90’s saw the business grow. However the bank wouldn’t accept the business to get a mortgage and so Speedart Programme Boards was forced to stop. 

 

Now retired, I have been able to spend more time on the art I am so passionate about and 2022 has seen the long-awaited return of Speedart Programme Boards. Showcasing a new generation of riders as well as some legends and using higher quality modern materials, the Speedart boards are back and better than ever.
